Iceland Photography Workshop Destinations
Iceland is one of the most iconic places on earth to hold a landscape photography workshop. If you want to experience some of the finest and most unusual landscape on earth then join us for a once in a lifetime 8 day journey. We will be photographing black ice beaches, dramatic sea stacks, stunning waterfalls, ice caves, thermal pools, glacial lagoons as well as dramatic mountains. We will also be shooting a number of evenings throughout the trip as we seek out the northern lights. We have timed our workshop to coincide with the new moon phase to ensure we give ourselves the best chance possible with our aurora shooting.
Exact itinerary will be based on prevailing conditions but we will be based in the south east for the first 4 nights of the trip (outside Reykjavik), with the latter part focused on landscape in the south west. Expect to visit locations such as Urriðarfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, and Reynisdrangur. We will also shoot Kirkjufell, Skaftafell, Vatnjökull and Jökulsarlon plus much more.
Logistics and Our Input
Throughout our Iceland photo workshop we will bring you to hand picked locations at the best time of day to ensure you get great shots. But there’s more. Before each shoot we will suggest shots to you. What will work compositionally and give you technical advice on how to execute the image. Our evenings will be spent trying to shoot the aurora when the chance arises. We will organise all aspects of the tour from hotels, food and transportation. It really is an amazing chance to come away with lots of great new images and learn new skills in the field.
Departure for the tour will be from Reykjavik early on Saturday 10th March. You will need to organise your own hotel on the night one though we will make a suggestion on where to stay. We will be meeting at approx 8pm on Friday evening for anyone that wants to. We will be shooting sunrises and sunsets throughout but never fear our timing is perfect. Sunrise is at 9am and sunset is at 6pm. Easy street for the landscape photographer.
