Scotland Photo Tour Destination – Glencoe

Scotland truly is one of the finest places on earth to hold a landscape photography tour. Dramatic mountains, moody loughs, beautiful trees and of course some truly stunning castles. Our Scottish photo tour takes place in winter amongst the dramatic landscape of Glencoe (the backdrop for James Bond’s Skyfall). Amounts of snow vary greatly but at a minimum, we will have good snow-capped peaks and a great chance of some really interesting ice in the rivers. With easy access from Glasgow (less than 2 hours) and a road that stays open all year round getting into this winter wonderland is really made easy.

Couple the dramatic foregrounds with amazing mountain background’s at Rannoch Moor, Glen Etive and Buachailli Etive and your in for a real treat. If it’s lakes and mountains with dramatic mountain backdrops you after then you will be spoilt in Glencoe.

Logistics and Our Input

Throughout our Scotland photo tour, we will bring you to hand-picked locations at the best time of day to ensure you get great shots. But there’s more. Before each shoot, we will suggest shots to you. What will work compositionally and give you technical advice on how to execute the image. We will also be available in the evenings to critique images and do some post production in Lightroom and Photoshop. We will organise all aspects of the tour from airport pick up to hotels and transportation. It really is an amazing chance to come away with lots of great new images and learn new skills in the field.

Departure for the tour will be from Glasgow international airport on 13th February. We return to Glasgow airport on 16th February in the evening. We will be shooting sunrises and sunsets throughout but never fear our timing is perfect. Sunrise is at 8 am and sunset is at 5.45pm. Easy street for the landscape photographer.
