Camping Workshop Iceland

Do you fancy some genuine photographic adventure? Does camping out in some of the most scenic locations in the world sound like heaven? We have the perfect photography workshop for you. 5 Days camping and photographic adventure in Iceland.

Dates are set around the summer solstice so midnight sun is something you‘ll experience during your stay. At this time of year, it will not get dark so our main shooting time will be very late evening through to the early morning. We will reverse our sleeping cycle and rest during the day.

By reversing our body clocks, we gain two very important things; much better light and locations without the crowds. Hours and hours of golden light as sunset just runs into sunrise.

We can photograph popular locations and have the entire place to ourselves.

Our tentative plan is to do the south ring road as far as Vik taking in some of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, sea stacks and beaches. We then plan to head inland and truly get off the beaten track deep in the Icelandic Highlands.

However, the main driving force behind our itinerary will be the Icelandic weather forecast. We have total flexibility as we are camping and can book into sites at a moments notice. Both Thor and Peter have masses of experience judging, studying and analyzing Icelandic weather and will use this knowledge to totally shift itinerary if necessary. This is, of course, is in your interest and ensures the very best experience for you. A massive benefit of traveling with experienced guides.

In this workshop, we will be traveling in two 4×4 cars (Minivan and SUV) and the group is limited to 10 participants. This gives us huge the freedoms to be very flexible.

Throughout the tour, we will be concentrating on sunrise, sunset and the best possible light. In order to set realistic expectations, we cannot promise a sunrise/set in any particular place because it depends entirely on the weather, which we will be monitoring closely throughout.
